CPA Group has been providing medical services at Hidden Valley Gold mine in Papua New Guinea since 2012. Our team is led by two Australian Paramedics, Ole Juul and Phil Tisdale, both absolutely passionate about service delivery and building a medical team that is renowned for the quality of its staff and service.

In addition to leading the delivery of medical services at the remote site, our focus has been on building a sustainable medical team through an absolute commitment to professional development of the PNG national staff.

This has culminated in the Medical team travelling to Copenhagen, in Denmark, to attend the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) 2018 Copenhagen Congress from the 16 April to 18 April 2018.

The 4-person HV team will compete against 9 other teams from Europe.

The competition will be all about team work, skills, experience and the ability to find a solution when challenged. The competition will be scenario-based events that test each team’s ability to manage patients in various circumstances with common critical medical conditions and trauma.

This will be a great challenge for the Hidden Valley Medical Team but they are well trained, they are confident in their ability and we wish them the very best during the competition.

Whatever the outcome of the competition, this is an outstanding achievement for Ole, Phil and the team and a testament to the CPA Group commitment to developing our staff, particularly in PNG.
