CPA Group is one of the largest private ERT companies in the southern hemisphere with experience managing the largest private fire and rescue service in Australia.

Recently, CPA Group’s Fire and Rescue division, under National Operations Manager – Emergency Services, Kevin Waterman, applied for accreditation under a new quality system under the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authority Council (AFAC) Emergency Management Professionalization Scheme (EMPS).

The purpose of the EMPS is to bring together the growing professional standards of emergency management as one standard, across public and private response agencies.  This assists in the integration of emergency services and industry management teams as an incident evolves, streamlining response.

In applying for this accreditation, CPA Group was committing to the business principles and practices of the AFAC Emergency Management Professionalisation Scheme which in turn contributes to risk mitigation by ensuring we are engaging competent, capable and experienced personnel.

As part of the accreditation process, Capital Crisis Solutions, with guidance and advice from AFAC to deliver the EMPS, recently conducted an audit of CPA Group’s Fire & Rescue division.

We are pleased to advise that CPA Group has received its Emergency Response certificate of Audit Endorsement (Tier 3) including an endorsement for LNG.

As the largest provider of private Emergency Response services, it is fitting that CPA Group would be the first organisation to successfully undertake the audit process and our congratulations go to Kevin Waterman and his team for the achievement.
